Amazon ?Customers Vote? deals are outstanding

How’d you like a Wii for $79? Unbelievable. See this is why you can’t get a Wii anywhere. Amazon’s been hoarding them all for this very event. Up for grabs is your choice of 1000 Wii consoles at $79 each. 1000 40GB PS3 consoles at $139 each or 1000 Xbox 360 Arcade consoles at $99 each. More scantily clad deals after the jump. Crazy deals but let’s see how many people ACTUALLY get to buy it at these prices last year there was lots of hoopla about these things. Seems many people are suffering from amnesia. Jon how many ppl? Exactly the number you see in Amazon ads. 1000 ppl will buy Wii. 1000 dellusional ppl will buy PS3 etc i’m deal crazy and get my best stuff thru referrals anyone got a cell service they’d rec? hey i said i love deals! thks! amazon reviews always get my attention and saw this and thought lucky might find this helpful net10 is prepaid high quality and not evil lol!!! This was a HORRIBLE promotion last year that turned into a huge fiasco and customer disenfranchisement issue for Amazon. When the deal went live. Amazon’s servers couldn’t handle the traffic and shutdown the entire site. Only to come up later and find all the sale items were sold out because some savvy users went to the secure version of the page (separate server) rather than the linked page (unsecure) advertised on Amazon’s promotional pages. Several of these users bought multiple units of the sale item and later sold them on ebay and other auctions/classifieds. Many complaints were filed with the Better Business Bureau and the forums were filled with 1000s of angry customer complaints. Yeah the Amazon Customer Votes promotions are outstanding deals unfortunately you basically have to hit the lottery to actually take part in them because the supplies for every option are peanuts next to the amount of people who vote.
