29 Aug 2007. 1130 hrs IST ,Tarun VijayBombs are deadly. They suddenly blast and even before you could know what has hit you your body would be scattered all around in a hundred pieces. You may be having fun at a local food joint or preparing to solemnise marriage the next morning. Everything goes off in a second. Marriages turn into mourning and the enquiries are ordered. That's the system requirement. A democratic state needs enquiry reports. But bombs do not arrive uninvited. They are invited and sheltered and facilitated. The biggest facilitation comes from the state apparatus through the creation of an atmosphere where blasts become a routine affair so much so that people stop counting or reacting to them. The blasts the condemnations the expressions of deep sorrows and the steel resolves –'not to be cowed down by such dastardly acts' become so standardised like the cyclostyled copies of the municipal payment receipts we used to see in childhood days that nobody read. Yet they are kept as sacred documents readily producible in future if asked –did you pay your bills? Yes sir. So if someone would ask our worthy leaders what did you do when your people were killed they would smartly produce the newspaper cuttings – we condemned the incident in strongest words. Band-aid solutions. Never eliminating the cause of the hurt never finding the permanent solutions. Just a first-aid and the matter ends like an ill-equipped public hospital treating a wounded pedestrian. Do we remember how many of them have occurred so far? Jammu. Gandhi Nagar. Varanasi. Bangalore. Delhi again Delhi and yet again.... Hyderabad. Kolkata. Imphal. Guwahati. Coimbatore... The one who did it in Delhi was condemned to death penalty by the Supreme Court but secular politicians wanted him to be set free. The other a rogue politician himself caught for the Coimbatore blasts was felicitated in a public function by the entire cabinet of a state government run by the Leftists with the home minister in the lead when the accused was freed on technical grounds mainly because the state apparatus that was supposed to present proof of his involvement in the bloody incident 'failed' to do so. Have you ever heard a state cabinet felicitating a soldier's family who gave his life for defending India? A Taslima is attacked and the victim herself is booked for the 'instigation' like a rape victim in Pakistan being accused of 'instigating' rapists to commit the act! A party in power which takes decisions calculating an electoral win and safety of political power rather than the lives of people it is supposed to rule and protect would even go to the extent of hobnobbing with the anti-nationals to secure their support for staying afloat in governance. The Muslim League (ML) under Jinnah's leadership was responsible for India's division and the subsequent massacres. Post-Independence. ML survived though it was a political pariah like the Communist party and Lenin's memory had become in Russia. It was helped revive by the Left parties in Kerala to get Muslim votes and the first district based on a religious group's majority a Muslim one was created and named Mallapuram in the late fifties. Now for the first time in our post-Independence history the UPA invited ML to join the central government. Parties which would show no qualms in hating any group with a Hindu tag or inclination go an extra mile to accommodate a communal Muslim party which didn't think to change its name after its condemnable role in the nation's partition. Suppose the Hindu Mahasabha which was against Partition was revived by Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh saying it's a different party now would any of them be allowed to join the mainstream?Recently several thousand Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators were caught by the Arunachal Pradesh government and thrown out of the state. Immediately the All-Assam Minorities Students Union. Assam issued a warning that unless they are 'accommodated' they will push out all Assamese (read Hindus) from three Muslim-dominated districts of Assam – Dhubri. Goalpara and Barpeta. In no time Assam's Chief Minister issued a statement that all of these Muslims ousted by the Arunachal government belong to Barpeta and so shall be accommodated there. There was no enquiry that on what basis the Arunachal government has declared these people as Bangladeshis and unless the matter is settled between two Indian provinces nothing decisive should be spoken for those declared aliens. The central government maintained a studied silence. In Assam the prevailing perception is that any Bangladeshi can claim his or her citizenship to Barpeta because it's a city run and controlled by Bangladeshi illegal infiltrators. Assam is the only place on this earth where a native government enacted a foreigners' registration act which put the onus of proving a person's nationality on the police or the complainant rather than on the suspect! It was known as the Illegal Migrants (Determination by Tribunals) Act 1983 applicable to one state only so that Bangladeshi illegal infiltrators are facilitated to sneak in. The irony was that on a highway on the left side. Assam had one foreigners' registration act and on the right side. Meghalaya had a different one. It was struck down by the Supreme Court (SC) which admonished the government in harsh words. But with state elections nearing a shameless government through an executive order amended the act which had become uniformly applicable all over India after SC's orders to keep the same discarded IMDT Act in vogue through backdoor. It was against the spirit of Supreme Court's orders against the national interest against the people of Assam. Yet it was created to get Bangladeshi infiltrators' votes. Thanks to judiciary that amendment too was struck down by the court. But by that time the damage had already been done. Like the central government. Assam's Congress government depends on Muslim voters to stay in power. Hence the Bangladeshi infiltrators might be aliens but till they vote an Indian political party to stay in power they are most welcome to grab land take fake identity cards and increase their population so much that now a Bangladeshi Muslim majority pocket in Assam has demanded a separate autonomous status for it so that they can run their affairs according to their wishes. If the political parties responsible for safeguarding the nation from aliens act this way who is going to stop the terrorists in an effective manner? Just before the state elections were held in Andhra Pradesh. Naxals and Maoists were given lavish dinners by the party in power and made to stay in government guest houses in Hyderabad. Their help was also sought in winning the elections. Can a Chief Minister take action against those bandits now? What worth are his words that assure action against terror outfits when his connections and his bowing before the lawbreakers who control his vote bank is public knowledge?A nation living on a self-denial mode can never defeat gun runners. A polity that declares Ishrat Jahan innocent even before a police enquiry begins which allows secessionists in Nagaland to open and run their 'free republic' headquarters and celebrate 'Independence Day' separately which turns aliens into voters thrives on a self-obsessed people who remain as engrossed in their routine of earning and dying as they were in the East India Company's babudom. Strong nations move on their heritage and civilisation whether it's Russia. China or the United States. They know who they are and who the enemy to their existence is. But here we have a state which tries to de-recognise its civilisational moors rather demoralises the patriotic forces ( from Kashmir to Kohima) and sleeps with the foes of our ancestral past so much so that we love to honour the memory of a bigot like Aurangzeb the ideological 'great grand pa' of today's Taliban by naming a major road in the Capital after him but fear to honour Dara Shikoh the learned scholar of Upanishads and a bridge of love between Muslims and Hindus( Japanese PM Abe quoted him in his address to Indian Parliament recently). Dara Shikoh was jailed and killed by his brother Aurangzeb and his grave lies unheard uncared for in the precincts of Jama Masjid. New Delhi where even the fashionable heritage-walkers of the NDMC-Habitat variety do not visit. The state finds it fulfilling to guard the remnants of those who assaulted Indian civilisational state romanticise the memories of conquistadors-who razed temples and build mosques over it like the one called Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque popularly known a Qutub Minar where an introduction by the Archaeological Survey of India tells all but fails to reinstate temples destroyed by jihadis in the Valley or protect a shrine and a bridge connected with the memories of Ram. So after every blast band-aid prescriptions and similar analyses are of no use unless the real spirit of the nation is recognised and nourished. Huntington wrote 'Who are We ? and answered the character of the American nationhood without apologies. Do we know who we are and the destiny of the nation that we are entrusted to realise? Then alone the state can fulfil its commitment to eliminate the hands that turn marriages into mourning. And this can be achieved with a united front of all- no matter which religion or province one belongs to. Because the battle is between Indians and India-haters.
Saffron Surge-India's Re-emergence on the global scene and the Hindu ethosBy Tarun VijayRise of a New Hindu. Emerging Hindu global giants and entrepreneurship. Indian brilliance and power of mind established as a new icon of faith is another face of hope and confidence that dots India the youngest nation on earth today. Re-emerging like a Phoenix India seeks and weaves a saffron surge resonating the Vedic seer's message of love for the noble and unapologetic elimination of the wicked vibes. Simmering angst against a secularism that distances from and hates anything Hindu and an uncompromising resistance to the colonial mindset aimed at de-nationalising Indian ethos and civilisational contours reflected through the denial of Ram and destruction of Ram Sethu finds space in 'Saffron Surge' which deals with all these issues including Hindu hypocrisy the feuds within Hindu fold a Taslima asked to get out a Husain honoured for painting Hindu goddesses as nude. India reeling under a Jihad and Maoist assaults with a dwindling Hindu population 'marked' for 'harvesting' and a secular polity making patriots refugees in their own motherland. Whats the way out? Tel 011-41603490An excerpt from the bookThe New rise of HinduHindus are on an unprecedented rise all over the globe and they have startled the world with their prowess in mathematics science technology industry and medical sciences. An average Hindu in the West is considered an honest persevering talented and compassionate vegetarian with an extraordinary capacity to adjust with the local societies and serve the adopted land with unquestionable loyalty. Hence Vodafone. Citibank. Pepsi have them preside at top positions. TThe new Hindu is assertive and sensitive not aggressive or a silent spectator to the assaults of the secular Taliban. So he stands up against a Durga being painted with whiskey bottles in her hands by an Amsterdam ad agency or a Ganapati on the toilet cover and voices strong protest against the destruction of the ancient Ram Sethu down south. Faithful to his roots yet free from ritualistic blind dogmas he gets angry at hypocritical religious behaviour. So while Indira Nooyi would dazzle the audience in the Ashok Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhawan receiving the coveted Padma award in a South silk saree she may not be an exhibitionist and declare that she is an ambassador for Hindu dharma or go to a temple in the full glare of the media. Dharma is a very personal and valuable theme for a modern Hindu not to be worn on the sleeve. And to make corrections and improvements is an ongoing process for every devout that makes his faith – Sanatana meaning always with the times ever-changing yet eternal in its basic message. The message of love compassion and respecting (not tolerating please that word spells negativism) the other viewpoint. That's the attitude and a belief distinguishing us from the Semitic streams. All roads lead to one God and all prophets have spoken well for humanity - that's a Hindu speaking at home or in a congregation without hesitation. He won't mind bowing his head before the inspiring and the compassionate altar a picture of Jesus or an Islamic place of reverence without compromising his own convictions. That's the reason he hates the politically-charged groups parties and so-called ideological war horses which have hardly done anything to correct or make amends in the caste-ridden structure or in the attitude towards women. See the movie Provoked and decide which society you belong to. The Hindu who worships Durga during Navratra but kills the same Devi when she arrives in the womb? Or the Hindu who claims to see Ram in every creature but refuses to dine with his co-religionist if he happens to be from a so-called "lower caste"? Hence the anger within in the new real Hindu. Against the loot of the pandas in pilgrim centres mismanaged temples and a complete control of the so-called high castes on every decision-making body of the society. The reservation issue may be a difficult one but pray who stops the high and mighty of the Hindu "high caste" to start centres of excellence for their disadvantaged sections so that they never ever feel the need to use the reservation ladder? While the stereotype basks in the meaningless repetition of the old dogmas the newly-risen Hindu has started working on such development themes bringing Laxmi and Saraswati on the same platform. For a Hindu the spread of his vast entrepreneurial empire has to be greeted with the Gayatri Mantra (Videocon ad) and Vande Mataram (the Kumarmangalam Birla campaign) but nevertheless the biggest challenge comes from within and not from outside "enemies". Job reservation for non-Hindus the arrest of Shankaracharya on Diwali night and refusing to execute a non-bailable warrant against the Imam the temple takeover spree by the state power stopping of morning bhajans in trains subsidy to Haj and silence on Hindu pilgrimages biryani for terrorists and no hope for patriotic Kashmiri Hindus uprooted from their homes in the Valley -- all these issues make him uneasy. This anger for the inner corrections and a will to excel has given a unique hue to the new rise of the Hindu which is the only assuring factor in spite of the cacophony of various interest groups working to confuse the march of the Sanatana Dharma.(excerpts end)Below is a review of the book by Shri V. Sundaram.
A Surge-against all oddsTarun Vijay's book "Saffron Surge. India's Re-emergence on the Global Scene and Hindu Ethos". This book was released by Sri K. S. Sudharshan. Sarsangchalak of the RSS in the presence of Shri Mohan Rao Bhagwat. RSS Gen Secy.. Shri Ashok Singhal. President of VHP in New Delhi and by veteran RSS leader K. Suryanarayan Rao in Chennai. On 13th Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is releasing it in Bangalore. This itself tells a lot about the significance the book has received in a short time. In this Book. Tarun Vijay makes it clear that the greatest asset of any nation is the spirit of its people and the greatest danger that can menace any nation is the breakdown of that spirit—the will to win and courage to work. Through the lava of his inexorable logic and incisive analysis. Tarun Vijay has proved that it is this nationalist spirit of our society which has been bruised or uprooted by our socio-economic policies under the umbrella of "SECULARISM". In operative terms this has always meant Anti-National-Hindu Pseudo-Secularism. Tarun Vijay gives biting and rapier-like examples which can stand the strictest judicial scrutiny in any court of law to prove that Government of India and of course all the State Governments after our independence have consistently followed an ever-deepening and ever-widening policy of Anti-National-Hindu Pseudo-Secularism in all spheres of our national life—political economic educational social cultural and religious. The Congress Party first under Nehru and later under other members of his family has consistently been in the vanguard of this destructive Anti-Hindu psyche. Consequently all the Hindus of India (excepting the pseudo-secular anglicized anti-national Hindus!) have been reduced to the level of third class Stateless Citizens. Silence on the destruction of Ramsethu and completely ignoring the plight of Kashmiri Hindus are just two glaring examples. The matter is made worse by the Islam-embracing. Christianity-coveting and Hindu-hating pseudo-secular mass media. To quote the appropriate words of Tarun Vijay: "A faithful Hindu is still a target of jokes and mockery and gets contemptuous references in the so called mainstream media." For example inspite of so many incidents of rape and brutal killings of the Hindus reported by various sources in Bangladesh during the last ten years not a single electronic channel from India thought it worth sending a team there for investigation with concern for the pursuit of truth information and enlightenment. A large unmeasurable percentage of the total editorial space in all our mainstream newspapers is concerned not with public affairs or matters of national importance. It is devoted to cheap entertainment titillation amusement voyeurism and tripe. According to Tarun Vijay the year 1857 was a symbol of National Unity a collective resolve to throw out the British Rulers to assert our Dharma our Majhab's identity and to respect each other as Indians first and Indians last. An undivided society fought for an undivided India. Now 150 years later. India has been divided into three portions and the State Power plans to divide sections of Indians on the basis of castes sub-castes political affiliations and religion making the pan-Indian identity inferior to micro assertions and brazenly promoting hate against ideological adversaries and opponents under the State-sponsored mega programme of enthronement of authoritarian anti-Hindu pseudo-secularism. Today the State Power stands by the side of any one seen insulting the Hindu sense of faith and pride. Hence M. E. Hussain's 'minority right' to paint nude Hindu Goddesses is sacred and so is the right to butcher cows for a secular Constitution misinterpreted which in fact incorporates protection of cows as one of its Directive Principles. Muslims in India belong to the same blood race colour ancestors and history and traditions as that of the Hindus. They are being misled by their so-called leaders to covertly support those foreign invaders who just happen to be their co-religionists. Every single Muslim in India who feels wronged any time anywhere always finds Hindus standing with them in Courts and on streets. Has the reverse happened even once? Has any Muslim organization taken up the cases of Kashmiri Pundits or Godhra victims and taken the fight to its logical conclusion to get justice for the Hindus in the same way as Hindu Human Rightists have being waging a battle for Muslim victims of Gujarat and elsewhere? To quote the brilliant words of Tarun Vijay in this context "History has provided this very unique and rare chance to the Muslims of India to show a friendly gesture to their Hindu brothers by offering Ayodhya. Kashi and Mathura back to the Hindus to re-build temples. These places do not have any great significance to Islam; rather they are a blot a continuous reminder of hate and subjugation to the Hindus. Hundreds of Mosques have been demolished in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to make way for roads and hospitals etc." Sufferings of victims of Islamic terrorism in Pakistan often move him to inconsolable tears. And yet at the same time he is not moved or affected by the marginalization or the ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiri Hindus by the extremist Islamic elements in the Kashmir Valley. All the Kashmiri Hindus exterminated from the Kashmir Valley seem to be crying out helplessly in the wilderness: "Pray Prime Minister tell us why do you feel shy even to offer a word of solace to the unfortunate Kashmiri Hindus driven out of their homes and hearths by the Jihadis". Why should the UPA Government let loose a policy of Secular Talibanism against all the Kashmiri Hindus of India? This is the question which Tarun Vijay is raising with righteous indignation. We have an Indian Government run by the majority Hindus which finds it politically correct to announce larger and greater facilities and subsidies to Haj Muslim pilgrims and ignore the pilgrimages of the majority Hindu populace. Here we have a Christian Chief Minister who announces reservations for the Muslims in a Hindu-dominated province and proposes the same concessions for the political field also. Huge Government billboards at the National Capital's main Railway Station invites applications from people belonging to all the non-Hindu religions for getting funds for education and free coaching. Hindus alone are unwanted. Here anything that goes against the majority religious formulations is accepted as a sign of liberty secularism and broad-mindedness. Bindis are prohibited in Christian Schools where 90% of the students are Hindus and the school is run on their money. Against all this irrefutable background. Tarun Vijay concludes with legitimate national fervour and passion: "In fact it pays to be a non-Hindu in Hindustan". The intellect's ability to do its proper work does not depend solely on its horse-power and on the accuracy with which it is made and assembled. It depends also on the engine's being so solidly bolted down on so strong a foundation that it cannot shake itself to pieces. The solidity or robustness of a man's sensuous emotional nature whereby it affords a sane basis for his thinking consists in two kinds of strength in his feelings which I will call Compression- Strength and Tensile-Strength. Compression-Strength in feeling is vividness; Tensile-Strength is tenacity. Tarun Vijay has displayed Himalayan Compression-Strength and Tensile-Strength in his spirited Manifesto for the creation of a Hindu-Rashtra called Hindustan rooted in our age-old traditions of Sanathana Dharma. His clarion call to all the Hindus is: Hindus of India and the world unite!! You have nothing to lose but your chains! Thus. Tarun Vijay has spoken heroically on behalf of the besieged Hindus of India and given a hope of a resurgence that’s long overdue. Definitely Hindus can derive great inspiration and strength through this small volume produced by him.(The author is a retired IAS officer former secretary to the Govt of Tamilnadu and a famous columnist)
