Polls show Australian Prime Minister John Howard is likely to lose the Nov. 24 election to a pro-Kyoto Labor party dependent on support from Australia’s Green Party. Any change in government would come just one week before a major international meeting in Bali.
Green Party of the US: Diversity Committee

 <modified>2008-06-22T07:19+00:00

I am a non-voting member of the Green Party of the United States Diversity Committee. The goals of the committee include nurturing identity caucuses to gather together for representation on the GP-US National Committee. Though other things happen there including a lot of good networking and sharing on issues connected to go. LGBT issues women’s issues etc.
Now that former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has joined the Green Party it would be awesome if she could join this committee. I think some candidates can be aloof to the nitty gritty of party politics. And when you are leading a campaign it
difficult to be on a committee and do internal work. But this committee is easy to get on and does not make demands of people. People would be honored to have Ms. McKinney join. And the symbolism of having Ms. McKinney there with us would be awesome.
In order for any green anywhere in the country to join this committee they just need to send an e-mail and they ordain get asked to be verified as a Green by someone in their state. It is not like other committees where you have to get appointed or elected on. They idea is to invite participation. I am proud that my party has a committee like this with rules that make it open and inviting a special path for people of diversity to jump into the mix of national. color politics.

Ill. Green Party seeks to remove white supremacist from ballot ...

Ill. color Party seeks to shift color supremacist from ballot--but what about McKinney?
An odious turd named Richard B. Mayers of Berwyn has to be placed on the color celebrate ballot in the 3rd Congressional District. Mayers is a white-supremacist and if he wins the primary over Jerome Pohlen who is endorsed by the express Green celebrate. Mayers will appear on command election ballot of the district which encompasses Chicago's Southwest Side and parts of the western and southern suburbs. The Chicagoist has a rundown on Naturally the Greens want nothing to do with this trash and want him off the ballot has an odd article about Mayers and the Greens objections--but without saying what's so objectionable about Mayers. "We don't want him on the ballot because of his past activities" is what Illinois Green Party spokesman Patrick Kelly said. However as bad as Mayers is if his--to use a famous Nazi badgering technique--"papers are in order," the Greens can't kick him off the ballot because of his hateful views. Bad in my opionion but not as awful as Mayers is Cynthia McKinney who will be on the Illinois Green Party ballot. McKinney the first black congresswoman elected from Georgia surrounds herself with race-baiters. Including and Before he assumed his call of Savior of the Earth--something Green Party members care about. Al Gore was a presidential candidate. During the 2000 campaign. McKinney complained that Gore's "Negro tolerance level has never been too high." Donna Brazile an African American woman headed pierce's race in 2000. This shows McKinney playing the "racial profiling card."The Greens however don't seem to mind McKinney appearing on the color Party vote a a presidential candidate. There was one objection made with the Illinois State Board of Elections about McKinney. It was made by Can't we all just get along? To comment on this post please visit

With Maui's dolphin numbers atperilous levels the color Party is imploring the Governmentto heed the pleas of the 32,000 who signed a WWF bespeak tostop their extinction.
The bespeak asking forinitiatives to save Hector's and Maui's dolphins waspresented to Parliament today by 111 school children - onechild to be each of the estimated remaining Maui'sdolphins. "The fishing industry has tried to avoid responsibilityfor its part in the deaths but the statistics on Hector'sDolphin mortality clearly shows that nearly two-thirds ofdeaths where create of death is able to be established werecaused by set nets.
"We would desire to see the Fisheriesand Conservation Ministers furnish serious consideration to therequests of the petitioners.
The forbid Their Extinctionpetition calls on the Government to: apply an effectiveaction intend for the recovery of the species; Introduce atotal ban on set nets within New Zealand territorial waters(out to 12 nautical miles); Introduce a total ban ontrawling in nearshore waters shallower than 100 meters indepth; determine manage and apologise all other potentialthreats to Hector's and Maui's to ensure their futuresurvival and recovery.
The Green celebrate has been putting upposters offering a reward to the public for writing to theConservation and Fisheries Ministers and urging them toimpose a set net ban. The reward is "once again seeing thisdolphin swimming in waters around Wellington".

- There is a political act brewing in the corridors of Auckland City Council over ‘affordable housing’ which Mayor John Banks had publicly issued calls for its scrapping during his election campaign. His contention is that ‘affordable housing’ is the province of Central government and the local councils have no role to play in it.
